It is so important to go into labour with as much knowledge as you can to have the best possible experience.

This program is designed for expectant parents who are looking to prepare themselves for childbirth. Both first-time parents and those who have been through childbirth before can benefit from the information and support provided. The opportunity to meet other parents in this friendly environment is a big draw for lots of people, many of whom make lifelong friends.

Yes! Bringing along a support partner or birth partner who will be present at your birth is very highly encouraged. While it is not essential, your birth partner can significantly contribute to how you feel about your birth.

Absolutely! This program is inclusive and can benefit individuals planning various types of births, whether it’s a hospital birth, a home birth, a natural birth, or one involving medical interventions. We’ll provide information and support to help you make the choices that align with your birth preferences.

Yes, we will dedicate week five to discussing postpartum care and newborn care basics. It’s essential to be prepared for life after childbirth, and we’ll provide information and resources to support you during the postpartum period as well as allocate plenty of time for questions.

We will be offering newborn first aid as an add-on class from Autumn 23. It will cost £25 per person and will be a 1.5hour class in an evening. Join our mailing list to be notified when the first add-on course date is launched.

We recommend bringing a notebook and pen for note-taking. We will provide all necessary course materials, including handouts and resources, before and during sessions.

Payments for the program can be made in advance through Stripe, a secure online payment platform. We accept major credit and debit cards for payment.

There is no specific age limit for participants. Our program is open to expectant parents of all ages who are looking to prepare for childbirth.

While the program is primarily designed for expectant parents and those present at the birth, you may inquire about bringing a friend or family member as a support person. Please drop me an email at hello@sleafordantenatal.com to chat about this arrangement.

If you miss a session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please inform us as soon as possible, and we will provide options for making up the missed session or accessing course materials.

Refunds are generally not offered for canceled bookings. However, exceptions apply, such as if you miss the entire course for medical reasons, as long as you provide a letter from your medical team. Additionally, in exceptional circumstances, we may allow cancellations at our discretion, subject to a £25 administration fee. See our full course conditions here.

In the event that we need to reschedule a course or cancel it due to unforeseen circumstances, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative date or issue a full refund.

If your baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and you’ve already started the course, we cannot offer a refund for the sessions missed. However, we will provide you with an opportunity to catch up on the missed sessions at a later date. Please make sure to enrol on a course in plenty of time before the birth.
